Erin Merryn Speaks of Home and Inspiration

October 27, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Join Parents and Children Together October 27 for a special presentation with author and children advocate Eric Merryn, who will discuss the importance of battling against child sexual abuse in local communities.

Merryn will share her story as a child sexual abuse survivor and her work creating and developing Erin’s Law. The bill requires public schools in each state to implement age-appropriate awareness and prevention educational programs on sexual abuse and assault. It also provides training for school personnel on sexual abuse prevention. Hawaiʻi lawmakers have yet to pass legislation on Erin’s Law.

The event will be held at 9 a.m. at the YWCA Laniakear – Fuller Hall, 1040 Richards Street, Honolulu, HI. Seats are limited. Breakfast will be provided.
